ASL AQ1005DT to levels where my downstairs neighbors have asked me to turn them down. This is with my 11-ohm LS3/5A's, but I had similar results with my 15-ohm LS3/5A's.However, I use a pair of subwoofers for the bottom end, and this has been my practice since the late 1970's even with more powerful amps such as the Dynaco ST-70 (35watts/channel) or the conrad-johnson (50 watts/channel). In other words, as others have noted, the bass you get from LS3/5A's is more a limitation of the design of the speakers (small box, small drivers) than a limitation of the amp you are using.
Try it. You will be pleasantly surprised. LS3/5A's are a very easy load to drive. I even have great results with a newly-acquired 6-watt Trends TA-10 amp that uses a Tripath chip.
