As JimL pointed out, the LS3/5As have LIMITED power handling capability. A powerful ARC amp could easily destroy the speakers.LS3/5As are designed to be used NEARFIELD. Used as intended, LS3/5As sound GOOD. Bass augmentation with a subwoofer is strongly indicated.
