What about the JJ/Tesla E34L's? From what I understand they copied the internal structures of the old Mullards. I'm contemplating getting a quad set of these for my amp to replace some EH's, so I can't speak from experience. However, from what others have reported, the SED/Svetlana's are most closely like the Mullards, with a warm tone and slightly rolled off on the top end. The JJ/Tesla's have a bit more detail and extension to them, but also sound very good.Perehaps someone who has tried them both can chime in here and correct me where I am incorrect.
