I have had 16 of the EAT KT88's running in my modded ASL Hurricanes for well over 2 years without any issues, although one did go out about 4 months ago. Gave no sign of a problem before going - so users beware of the lack of telltale signs. I probably have close to 2,000 hours and the remaining tubes are still strong. I must add they are significantly better than the GEC in all but a very narrow band of the midrange, where the GEC does exceed, but otherwise - no contest. We should band together as others have stated to insist on the highest quality/best sounding and be willing to pay the extra $$.
