I recently made a similar post below asking about octals vs. miniatures. In this case it was for a 6SU7GTY vs. 12AX7/ECC83 in phono circuits. Have you compared both tubes in the same phono circuit built? If you did what are your impressions even if the 6SU7 would have slightly less gain? I have very good examples for both, Tungsol brownbase/blackglass 6SU7GTY and various NOS AX7's. Thank you.
