A couple points - first, filament glow is not an indicator of tube health or tube life remaining. But if the filament voltage is wrong in your amp it can shorten the tubes' life, or the tubes may not work right/sound good. Can you check the filament voltage?Second, GE 6550As are VERY stout, durable tubes. If they were NOS the chances of them all failing early is slim to none (unless they have been damaged by something). I have sold 500+ GEs and not one premature failure has been reported to me.
It may something other than the tubes causing trouble, it would be good to get them tested properly.
