I'd think so, though this combination would probably be a little lean for my taste. (Note that I haven't actually heard it.) I find that I enjoy tubed equipment more when either the preamp or the power amp is "tubey" in the stereotypical sense--like an older c-j piece, say, mated with an ss or even a more recent ARC to offset the excessive warmth, and OTOH to allow it to come through in all its glory. Of course these are gross generalizations; you really should try to hear the combination before you buy.
