Has anyone ever experimented with the unlikely combination of a tube preamp and a solid state amp.Here is a hypothetical:
What would the combination of an Audio Research Reference 2 MkII preamp and a Krell KAV-250a likely produce in terms of quality sound reproduction. Would the warmth and tonal characteristics of a high end tube preamp even be noticable played through the Krell amp?
