The noise is coming from the speaker. It stops only when the receiver is powered off....however, turning the speakers off with the switch on the front panel of the receiver (which should, in theory, electrically disconnect the speakers from the OPT x-formers) does not abate the static and crackling/popping in the right channel.It is definitely an intermittent problem. Sounds perfect now after sitting for a few hours.
Wonder if I have a bad ground somewhere. Unfortunately, I am not incredibly knowledgable when it comes to electronics.
