I recently swapped out the stock 12AX7s in my Jolida 202 (a 40wpc tube integrated w/EL34 power tubes) for some nos RCA 7025s. This change seemed to make everything, particularly the midrange more crisp and detailed. Acoustic guitar is downright spooky sometimes. I had already changed the stock 12AT7s to RCA ECC81s which tightened up and extended the bass.I haven't tried anything other than the single stock 12AX7 in my Bellari VP129 phono stage.
How about sharing your experiences? I'm new to this too and I think it would be just as interesting to read early trial and error type experiences.
