You need to be more selective on where you are buying the tubes from. I am using the EI 6DJ8 in my preamp, I like it very much, it sound sweet and balance, very quite and no microphonic at all. I got my tubes from Jim McShane, and he screen out those noisy and microphonics tube! Don't give up on production tubes.
