All new production 6922s suck. They have made a few decent 12AX7s, but certainly not the 6922. You may have to go with an external regulated 7.5 volt DC filament supply and start buying 7DJ8/PCC88s. They are abundant and cheap from Euro tube dealers and many US as well.
