I just put together this EL84 push-pull amp, and it's very enjoyable to listen too. Much more so to me than triode mode.I agree it's a great tube. I'm running the Ei Elites (no gold pins) right now, along with the regular (ie. cheap) gray plate Ei 12AX7. Good combo.
