Thanks for all the input. I'm definitely going to try the GT Mullard copy and see how it sounds. I have a good stock of 12AX7's and right now am using an Amperex Bugle Boy Holland tube that sounds very nice.
The remark made about the amps feedback was a good one- my amp has adjustable feedback, which pretty much sewed up things by itself, after some slight reduction in feedback, but the Amperex with it sounds great. I'll have to try the Tele again!Mitch
