I see he said he tried the telefunken to and he didnt care for it.Im wondering jim if he has a problem with his feedback needing to be tuned a bit.We did that on the eico hf35s the other day and we subbed 6l6gcs for the el34s and there was beautiful sonic structure and balance but the circuit doesnt have enough drive for full power.Im thinking about using a 6sl7 for more drive to see if that will help.Anyway getting back to the feedback we increased the feedback very slighty and it was enough to clean up the midrange and high end slope.
