I have the premier 12's, and am very pleased with the eight NOS GE 6550's I've installed in them: great detail, full and powerful low end, and realistic soundstaging. These were the tubes with which these amps were voiced—they only went to Russian tubes when the GE's became scarce. I've used those too (my amps were later production models), and while they were fine (a bit more syrupy and laid back on top), I feel the GE's are superior. Many knowledgeable people here and with whom I've spoken find the GE's second only to the original Tung-Sol's.
