I have a pair of Gallo Ref 3, and I use either a classe CA400 (400 watts P/C) with good result. I also use a pair of Mono Citation II (130 watts tube power P/C) on it and I think it sound better. I never use any tube power smaller. I believe the Ref 3 can play fine with smaller or mid power amp, but it might enjoy more power to play big. Also, it all depend what type of music you play the most. Jazz, may be fine with small to mid power amp.
