RE: Most audio products will increase in price as a result.

Been following this closely on the business blogs and videos. It turns out the issue is a lot more complex than believing some talking head on the television suddenly trying to come across as a tariff's expert (which they certainly are not).

For a lot of reasons that the average person is not aware of, it turns out that price increases will not be as much as people think. The importers/exporters will have to absorb some percentage of the costs. The businesses will also have to take a bit of a haircut. For example, Apple makes 45% profit on their gear. They can afford to take a bit less profit.

Energy costs are already coming down, which will help reduce shipping and manufacturing costs. Negotiations are underway to address the disparities with trade. Additionally, interest rates are going to come down form this. That will also impact costs for businesses.

This just scratches the surface of the issues. So, over the next six months to one year, expect big changes to the business environment, which should have the long term impact of keeping costs under control.
