I have heard both the Super 8 and Silverback and I like both speakers. They have the kind of vibrancy and dynamics that is so lacking in most speakers made these days (a lot of speakers sound constipated to me). In that respect they sound a bit like high efficiency speakers, but they don't have the kind of odd tonal colorations that some high efficiency speakers have.I think the Super 8 is quite a bargain, the Silverback less so (given its much higher price) -- the law of diminishing returns has not been violated.
