Damn shame about the sad decline he suffered through. I once hung out with him for a while after a Tubes show and he was very cool and patient,answering a lot of music biz questions I asked. I'm surprised he turned his back on his Tubes history so completely, because I actually find them more musically satisfying than the Dead.But I also watched a close friend suffer through depression and end his own life, and I hope his family and friends can find some peace.
