That is a sad story. Sounds like Vince would have benefited from seeing a better shrink - his mental state was probably much worse than he let on. He hit the gravy train when he signed on with the Dead and couldn't accept the fact that it ended w/ Garcia's death. That gig was a gift as Vince wasn't that great of a musician.
