This makes me laugh.Danny Gatton is a guitar virtuoso who is well known to every blues fan in the world.As far as Joe being just a bar band??I guess these folks go to some damn good bars.Gotta disagree with that.
After reading this thread I've been wondering why JoeB doesn't do that much for me.It's hard to put a finger on it.He's a greatly talented/dedicated bluze guitar player.I have seen the DVD and own his Blues Deluxe cd.But when it comes to listening to some blues I'll pull out something by Monti Amundson or Studebaker John.Not technically the player Joe is but the blues they play is more authentic than Joes.He seems to beat the listener over the head with his playing.
I'm happy to see you have discovered the blues and have hooked yer musical wagon to one of the good ones.Beats the shit out of listening to you ramble on about the James Gang re-releases.
