Home Rocky Road

From Classic Rock to Progessive to hip hop to today's hot new tunes!

"...can a white man sing the blues?" - B.B. King seems to think so, at least in Joe's case; he's a pretty fair judge.

The album cover above is Joe's new album (out June 6)

>>> "...can a white man sing the blues? Not in this case,..." <<<

Folks who make snap judgements about the sum total of a musician's talents based solely on hearing one song that doesn't blow-up their skirts (like you, Jackaro & theguelpher) aren't very musically sophisticated, IMO. You guys would've probably dissed Deep Purple based on that "lousy" song Smoke on The Water too on first listen, ...at least until it became a megahit. ;^)

>>> "...this guy is no better than any of a thousand bar bands that play all over the country." <<<

Get outta town! C'mon dude, are you nuts? Is your Miracle Ear in need of new batteries, or what? The next thing you know, you'll be tellin' me that Dewey prcatices in some of those bars. Sheeeesh! ;^)

FYI, I've heard many bar bands over the years, more than I care to remember, and NONE of them were close to Joe's level of performance; in fact, he's better than most of the sold-out stadium rockers I've seen, and I've had the fortune, and occasional misfortune, of catching some of the biggest.

Before you get to attached to your opinion about how well a "white man can sing the blues" perhaps you should check out these samples from his new album (Pay particular attention to track 3. It's almost seems like he's channeling the late Ray Charles, and YES, that's JOE!):
