Maybe if you're talking about that bad sounding "1" collection, but the original Beatles recordings aren't compressed like these modern ones we're talking about here. Most of 10,000 Years has almost no dynamic range. Same with Spoon. Put on an old Beatles CD and crank up the volume to what sounds comfortable, then slip in the Honeydogs or Spoon without changing the volume control (if you dare).
