I don't even know more than a couple classical musicians who could talk themselves into believing any of this. And they aren't much fun to be with.Best concert experience I've had in ten years was a few weeks ago, hearing (blues-rock guitarist) Joe Bonamassa and his band in a small club in Boston. Rare musicianship, breathtaking skill, copious wit and most of all, soul.
(In the same period I heard quite a few classical shows, and played over a thousand. A couple were close.)
