...although the battery is not replaceable, it is rechargeable and if maintained properly (completely drained every couple of months) it should last years.Get the Apple extended warranty which covers everything for 2 years. If the battery fails, they have to replace the whole thing anyway - this way it's free within that period.
After a little more than year of heavy use, my hard drive failed and I got a new one free.
