It is also less of a synthesizer, or a full orchestra. To imply that there is "diminished musical experience" or to place a preference for the modern concert grand as a value comparison ("sound better") -- whether or not I agree with you -- is a matter of taste. The best illustration (of course?) is Bach on a harpsichord vs. a piano. I prefer a piano, usually, but it's clearly a fundamental distortion...Bach could not have composed with a modern piano in mind (or ear). Hey, fake boobs work too, but not on anyone I truly care about!:-)
