I knew he was from your era which is one reason why I put on a couple of tunes. I've had the album for quite a while but hadn't really listened to it all the way through. It's pretty solid with good bass players and no trumpets. Who could ask for anything more. Also Frank Strozier is on it.

Truthfully, I don't remember where I got it but I'm pretty sure it was through a George Coleman connection. Coleman wrote the brief liner blurb and there are mutual friends involved etc. and bam! there it was. That was a good 10 years ago or so. I can't remember how and where I got a lot of my albums. I remember the ones I bought in the 50's but my life kept getting foggier and foggier after that.

Now of course I'm semi-lucid.
