I never heard of him. I wonder if the LP you got the tune is "This one's for Pearle". If so, I've found a website where it can be listened to: Vinyl Preservation Project Pretty interesting. It seems he didn't record many albums as a leader.Track #2 is a surprise, I had never said it was S Clarke.
Track #3 is very nice, they were really hot that night. It's a pity that the piano and the bass are almost obscured by the cymbal work.
#4 is wonderful. I've always thought that for my taste Chet Baker as a male singer is as uninvolving and irrelevant as Astrud Gilberto as a female singer, but his trumpet playing, if he was up to the task, could be great. In this track he was.
#5 I suppose it's a track from the same LP as #1. When I listen to the full album at the provided link, I'll know. Good player indeed.
#6 Is a gem. I still don't know why I don't have that album in my modest collection, I like Mulligan and I like Konitz. One to add to the wishlist. Thanks for your effort, your sharing this music is a kind gesture which I appreciate. By the way, what happened this time to the mp3's that only sound by right channel? Previous releases were mostly mono, but had sound in both channels. Rick Wald's was in nice stereo. No problem with that, just curiosity :-)
Regards.
