...then it's possible to operate the Behringer entirely in the digital domain. That's what I do. I have a Squeezebox and a Benchmark DAC. I run the digital out of the Squeezebox into the digital in of the Behringer. The digital out of the Behringer goes into the digital in of the Benchmark. So no additional A/D or D/A conversion steps used.
