Thanks as always for having caught my post | responding to it.
As noted awhile back Duster had mentioned something had changed with both the Viborg | Furutech FI-11M ( Cu ) AC Male connectors,,which altered their respective sounds for the worst, and went onto recommend Monosaudio as his new cheaper alternatives, yet as of yesterday I began catching parts about the base metal for their blades as being copper plated, which threw me off, so I began studying the other options out there like SonarQuest | Vanguard which once again, which are viewed by many as equal to the Viborg's, another brand that constantly pops up is CopperColour of which we both are very familiar and own ( their copper sets in my case ) | you with your fondness of pure silver, of which I've only encountered the IeGO pure silver - rhodium plated power plugs and loved, yet logically can't justify placing a set of $290 plugs on what is essentially a $42 PC, unless I'm missing something?.
Know that my current thinking again is, even with the Accuphase 40th power cord stock plugs, it's offers a very very engaging sound, which makes me think by adding a slightly better quality plugs, which might actually have raw copper as the base metal instead of brass should bring about an even better, more resolved top end | of which here I'm thinking of trying out a combination of a rhodium plated copper AC Male, in tandem with first say a Monosaudio F101 copper IEC Female, followed by their more costlier F109G Gold Plated IEC Female ( which goes for $50 on AliExpress ), and see which one brings about the most improvement?, and stick with it...-, as I've become very very very convinced just how musical the cheap junk Chinese made power cord seriously performs, that I currently have one placed on two totally different systems, of which I know neither is going anywhere | I no longer feel the desire to spend more, or continue looking for alternatives.
For me..., it ends here, and once I get the combination of plugs worked out | like you, the system as well as more importantly its musical playback capabilities are all that engages me, I'd add the Wife | Granddaughters | occasionally a nice new Sci-Fi movie purchase that is.
No thousands wasted here | why should there be?, and trust me, you aren't the only one whom has been eyeballing the Accuphase SC's. Hush | Hush.
