Oscar, I'm not sure I ever told you? I use those tiny class D amps from China in my main system. I have a (extensively modded) Trends TA10.1 on the high pass (500Hz >>) and, with the volume control bypassed (there's a switch inside the amp to use it as power amp) and a quality linear power supply driving it, it sounds closer to a SET amp than ANY class AB amp I've heard.
Then on the low pass I have a Breeze Audio BA100 (25$ without power supply on Ali) that drives the 60 to 500Hz range. I've tried bigger AB amps there but it sounds more coherent when the same technology is used throughout the range. Only the subs use class AB amps but I'd like to change that, because class D uses less electricity. As a matter of fact, I've spent way more money in cables and accessories and anything else than I've spent for my amps, and yet NO ONE EVER listened to my system and said "I can hear you're using cheap Chinese chip amps". It's always funny to see the faces when I show the actual amps sitting side by side on their shelf, next to the electronic crossover.
