The Standard version isolation pad should do very well for the purpose/add some vibration control. Push three bamboo shish-kabob sticks into the hole and spread them out like a teepee as you described :-) ...and bamboo actually has good vibration damping qualities:http://www.calfeedesign.com/bamboo.htm
