RE: Recommend some new RCA cables for my Philips 312!

You want control over the total amount of capacitance the cartridge sees. Low capacitance per foot in the bulk cable you make the interconnects out of is desirable. Additional capacitance, should it be necessary, is easily added.

Given the above, I suggest you use Mogami 2549 bulk cable. Canare F-10 RCA plugs at the preamp end will give you good quality, without being silly expensive.
