Jerry,I think that's right on the money, psychoacoustically. Even more so if you just dropped $5000 on that new piece of equipment, you'd certainly expect it to sound much better. And, perhaps conversely if you not really bought into the idea after you painstakingly level your turntable you wonder what all the fuss was about. But eventually the subtle tonal nuances begin to shine through.
Because we have grey matter between our ears (oops almost typed rears) we can enjoy music. And, at the same time think ourselves out enjoyment.
I think, therefor I upgrade.
