Sounds like you are in a good FM market - the Left end of the dial has offered me hope for a future with FM - and having access to the CBC is still a great option - till they defund it...
As to the Goldmund Mimesis 4 - I vaguely remember it when it came out-
It should be good, if not great - however my recollection is that there is a setting on European tuners that is different of US tuners - or rather the respective broadcasters- that can may European tuners w/o the adjustment not very effective - I would listen, if possible, before I purchase...
