I actually got into those locktal tubes on the basis of various postings from yourself and certain other guys.
The tubes seems fine etc.etc. and they were quite cheap.
The sockets did look corroded, maybe it is my soldering as I only started soldering recently and took me a while to get the hang of it properly.
I noticed that if I applied too much heat then the pins seems to collapse. Most of them are fine but I doubt they will stand up to "constant use", swapping around etc.

The mounting tool I mentioned is for the other locktal sockets mentioned on AES website.
They are in fact cheaper than the white sockets I bought and seem more sturdy. The tool is necessary to get the socket onto the chassis, they are different to the white ones altogether and seem to be half the price !
