Home Tube DIY Asylum

Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

Re: I agree

We really dont know if the effects are beneficial but from my experience with the 6l6s the answer is no.The tube manufacturers took the resonance factor into consideration when they built the tubes and if you have a tube that resonantes a lot,you can shit can it whether its treated or not.Its like the power cords that people put on their amps and said they hear a hell of a difference. You got tons of wire comming from the power company to your home and then you have all the wire in the wall and people think using some exotic cord for that last 5 feet is going to make a hell of a difference even tho its going thru a tiny little fuse element.HAHAHAHAAHA.PULEEZZ..As long as you use a 16 guage cord or better its as good as anything out there for audio and if they are hearing a big difference they better get a brain scan because they need it.
