Hi ,
As per what Marnold said , label up the circuit diagram with the required voltages , also check the bias component values against the curves if the 78 has different characteristics to what you were using before . Could be that you have a wiring fault from incorrectly wiring the pins . Start by just connecting the heater and check the valve lights up and go from there , remember thats a grid not an anode cap :)
