Re: preamp desing using Hammond 124B

I had used the Hammond 124B as per John S's circuit as an input step-up Tx, but haven't had any chance with it. Very difficult (if possible) to get a flat frequency response out of it.

After taking the 124B out of the circuit, I made an extensive testing of it (on the bench, using a signal generator and an oscilloscope) and found that it had a very irregular frequency response. I tried various loading schemes (from 10 kohms to 220 kohms) but could not get a flat FR. I cannot remember the findings, this was done a month ago and I didn't keepany notes of the results I got.
