preamp desing using Hammond 124B

Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

A recent AX build article for a 211 amp mentioned using paired Hammond 124B trannies as part of the driver section. The author also mentioned using the same driver schematic 124B=6sn7=124B for a preamp. Anyone know of a DIY design using this arrangement? The parts count was low [two trannies, tube, and like 4 resistors per side]. Any ideas?? Thanks.
