Hi,And take care coz many lytic caps would make the rading go up again when the resistor is removed after reading zero.
A 250V cap may rise up to 70V again - which though not deadly can be a bit inconvienient…[ie. a discharged cap may very well gain some 30% of its former voltage from "memory", so discharge more than one time. This effect is lessend when discharging over a high resistance end is most visible if dischaged with a dead short.]
