Greets,Been away for a couple of years with a long-term illness, now I'm back, but mostly in lurker status.
When 'reforming' caps by running a tube preamp up slowly with a variac, does there need to be a dummy load on the preamp? I know that amps need speakers attached and it stands to reason that a preamp would, too. Is it possible to use a resistor across the output to present the dummy load?
Thanks,
Garibaldi
