They hold up much better in the harsh guitar amp environment and are more resistant to hum. The only 6N1P tubes are Russian. Go to any tube source and purchase them. Something like the tubestore.com.If you do not want to reinvent the wheel, there are many schematic compilation websites to pick any design you want. Try one of the 15 TrainWreck varieties here.
