Allen, here you go. Any words of wisdom on the tube stage. It feeds S&B TVC and then DRD 300B. My question below to which Russ replied and made of few suggestions is...is this stage worth investing in further (i.e. upgraded parts) or should I move on? Others have had good results with CCS load 396a and 6S45. The concensus is that, of the stock circuits as shown on schematic, most prefer the 6dj8 SRPP over the 6c45. most have removed the cathode bypass caps, the 2nd cap on the input HF filter and swapped the choke for a resistor on the input of the stage.
