I don't mean to be insulting, but I do hope to keep you from damaging your equipment or yourself. Go take an electronics class. Junior colleges have them for cheap and they're fun.

On measuring current through EACH SECTION of the triode, if there's a schematic, see if they're cathode biased. If they are, the current is the voltage from the cathode to ground divided by the cathode resistor value (E=IR so I=E/R). The same current runs through the cathode resistor (if there is one), the cathode, the plate, and the plate resistor (the grid doesn't draw current in any sane audio circuit).

Why is it you think you have to drop voltage?
