DU 1/2 .... Power Supply Math

Take a 122 VAC line form your wall, hook it up to a 104 VAC winding of the DU1/2 primary, and you get a 1.173 boost. Apply that to, say, the full two 120 VAC secondary windings connected in series on a DU1/2, and you get 281.5 VAC output to your rectifiers and filter.

Use an INDUCTIVE input filter ALWAYS !!, low HY, low DCR and with a Triad C-40X, etc, ( ie: about .3 HY ), and you get about 1.35 times your secondary's VAC..... or 380 VDC, MINUS the drop in your rectifiers !! Up to 380 VDC covers a LOT of triode tube's uses.

Need less B+ voltage, ( you probably will ) NO problem at all, there are taps at 104, 110, and 120 VAC on each of the DU 1/2s FOUR windings. Viola, you are there. Secondary DCR on the DU 1/2 is 1.72 ohms.....beat that !! This is kiddie stuff ya know.
