The problem I have is getting enough 'umph' from the tubes to drive these speakers. The signal is already run through a Marchand XM-126-4 way crossover, so the amps are only driving the low pass output as it is. 75 tube watts does not drive the speaker well at all. When I sub in a SS amp to drive these 24" monsters, I get plenty of sound, only harsh. I love the sound of the MC-275's, I just want more of it...for cheap. If money were no object, I'd get the AVA inverter. It has a sound I could be happy with for awhile.
