Hey Mike,These are a pair of old distressed street urchins used in a lab setting. They have been reworked and sound good, but look poor. I have tried them with the mono switch engaged, but they sound very weak. I don't know if they have issues, or if that is simply the sound in that mode. They are running through a borrowed tube hybrid inverter right now, and really drive the hartley's well. Problem is, I could NEVER afford the inverter. I purchased some sowter tranformers to play with, but don't think I can drive them directly as Eli D. pointed out.
