Radiance hit it right on the head. Different brands of tubes have different innerelectrode capacitances and slightly different operating parameters..Your new 2.5s may react different and be a slightly different load character and it happens to jive with that particular tubes operating characteristics so in turn it can sound better.Thats precisely why we have tube rolling.
